A 2-year-old girl presented with fever, catarrhal symptoms, and focal right hemispheric seizures that persisted and led to signs of intracranial hypertension. An influenza A H1N1 infection was confirmed via polymerase chain reaction analysis of a nasopharyngeal swab.
