In this article, Rudraraju and colleagues use human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiac and lung lineages to investigate the cellular response to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Transcriptome profiling and phosphoproteomics demonstrated that responses to SARS-CoV-2 varied according to the cell type. Using these omic profiles, the compounds alectinib and SPHINX31 were identified as potent antivirals for SARS-CoV-2.
