Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection patterns in households of women receiving antenatal care in Kinshasa, DRC, suggest vertical and horizontal transmission and reveal associations with street barber use, shared nail clippers, and sexual behaviors. Prevention of horizontal transmission should be considered in HBV elimination efforts.
